On Wednesday 22nd November, from 2pm-3.30pm, the team at Skylark House will open the doors to the care home on St Marks Lane for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.
Amanda Eastaugh, from the Stroke Association, will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is and the effects it can have on loved ones. Amanda will also discuss the key signs that can be identified to help recognise a stroke or a mini stroke, as well as the different stages of recovery.
After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team at Skylark House and take a tour of the care home.
Skylark House home manager, Devendra Lallchand, said: “At Skylark House we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite Amanda to the home to host our Stroke Awareness event.
“We are looking forward to welcoming local people to Skylark House for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
