Free advice event at Silversprings

Silversprings is inviting the local community to its free informative event on ‘Living Well with Diabetes in Later Life’.

On Tuesday 3rd October, from 2pm-3.30pm, the team at Silversprings will open the doors to the care home on Tenpenny Hill for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.

David Robinson from Diabetes UK, will be sharing important information and giving the latest advice and tips on living well with, and preventing, type-two diabetes.

After the event there will be a Q&A session, and visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Silversprings and take a tour of the care home.

Donna Cousins, home manager at Silverprings said: “Here at Silversprings, we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of carers. Type-two diabetes is common among older people, so learning how this can be prevented and managed is something that those caring for a loved one can benefit from.

“We are looking forward to welcoming people to Silversprings for what promises to be another interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
