Silversprings held an afternoon of summer games and entertainment for all the family at this year’s event.
The highlight for many on the day was the opportunity to get up close to a variety of exotic animals from Kimmy’s Mobile Petting Zoo including meerkats, and for those feeling brave, tarantulas and lizards.
The Care UK team also took to the stocks for traditional fete games to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, while the home’s chefs cooked up a delicious barbecue which guests enjoyed as they were entertained by a local brass band.
Donna Cousins, home manager at Silversprings, commented: “We were delighted to welcome the local community to our summer fete for a day of exciting family-friendly activities. Here at Silversprings, we are always looking for ways we can build strong relationships with the people of Thorrington, and holding a summer fete was brilliant opportunity to do just that.
“Everyone had a fantastic afternoon, the day really was the perfect way to end the summer here at Silversprings, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back again soon.”
