Join Whitby Dene for summer fun to celebrate Care Home Open Day

Whitby Dene is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

From 2pm-4pm, the team at Whitby Dene will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Whitby Dene has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day, where visitors will be treated to a delicious barbecue prepared by the home’s chefs. There will be plenty of games and activities for everyone to take part in, including a workshop by Music for Health, an organisation which enriches the lives of residents through unique and interactive, music based workshops. Local pianist Andrew will also be on hand to provide entertainment throughout the afternoon.
