Join Milner House for summer fun to celebrate Care Home Open Day

Milner House is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

From 2.30pm-4.30pm, the team at Milner House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Milner House has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. There will be a delicious finger food buffet prepared by the home’s chefs, and visitors will be able to pop into the home’s very own old fashioned sweet shop. There will also be live musical entertainment and garden games throughout the afternoon for everyone to enjoy.

Julie Billington, home manager at Milner House, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
