From 1.30pm-4.30pm, the team at Langley Oaks will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Langley Oaks has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day, where visitors will be treated to tasty treats including homemade cupcakes, among other refreshments. Local singer, Paul Bretts, will be on hand to provide entertainment throughout the day, and there will also be fun games and competitions for everyone to enjoy.
Jackie Johnson, home manager at Langley Oaks, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Langley Oaks has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of South Croydon.”
