Free advice event at Wellmeadow Lodge

Wellmeadow Lodge is inviting the local community to a free event offering support to people considering care for their loved one.

On Tuesday 9th May, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Wellmeadow Lodge will open the doors to the care home for its free ‘Planning care for the future’ event.

Independent financial and legal specialists will be on hand to help those caring for a loved one understand the available options for funding long-term care. They will also provide expert information on legal matters such as wills and power of attorney.

After the event there will be a Q&A session with refreshments, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Wellmeadow Lodge and take a tour of the care home.

Wellmeadow Lodge home manager, Catherine Brannan, said: “Here at Wellmeadow Lodge we know that there is vast range of information to keep in mind when considering care for a loved one.  We hope that those considering the future care of a family member or friend will take the opportunity to benefit from our expertise.

“We are delighted to have experts in both financial and legal management joining us for the event, who can provide guidance on the financial side of planning care, as well as covering legal issues.”
