On Wednesday 25th January, from 2pm to 4pm, Francis Court will open the doors to the care home for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.
Caroline Dooley from The Stroke Association will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is and the effects it can have on loved ones. There will also be information on the recovery process, as well as the help that is available for those who have suffered from a stroke.
After the event there will be a Q&A session with Caroline where she will be offering free BP checks for anyone attending. Visitors at the event will have the opportunity to meet the team at Francis Court and take a tour of the care home.
Francis Court home manager, Mary Ballesteros, said: “At Francis Court we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite members of the local community to our Stroke Awareness event.
“Previous events have proven to be incredibly popular, so we are looking forward to welcoming local people to Francis Court for what promises to be another interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
