Christmas has arrived at a Kingsfield care home following a week of festivities with children from two local nurseries.
Residents at Kingsfield care home on Jubilee Way were joined by children from Townsend Day Nursery and Abbeyfield Day Nursery this week for two special Christmas performances.
Children from Townsend Day Nursery, told the story of the ‘Whoops-a-Daisy’ nursery nativity through song, while youngsters from Abbeyfield Day Nursery performed a number of classic carols to get everyone into the festive spirit.
Vanessa Pendleton, home manager at Kingsfield, said: “Christmas is a magical time of year, and here at Kingsfield we like to make all the residents feel at home by creating a Christmas calendar with plenty of traditional fun.
“This year’s celebrations have been the best yet at Kingsfield, with visits from Ethelbert Primary School, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and Ospringe Primary School to name a few.
“We’ve all had a lovely time getting into the Christmas spirit, and would like to thank all the children and performers that have visited us over the last month, for helping us to make Christmas 2016 extra special.”
Kingsfield provides a range of services from residential and specialist dementia care, to sensitive end of life care.
