The Care UK team opened the doors to the care home on St John’s Close to spread seasonal cheer when they hosted a Christmas party for family, friends and the local community.
Visitors and residents enjoyed festive food cooked by the care home’s head chef, carol singing and live entertainment from Trev Walton which got everyone in the party spirit.
The residents have also been taking part in fun Christmas activities, including wreath making. Residents created the home made wreaths using holly, tinsel, Poinsettia flowers, and red ribbon.
The Care UK team also hosted a Christmas jumper day and took part in a raffle, raising £180.00 for the Neo-Natal Unit at West Suffolk Hospital (Rainbow Ward).
Katy Hughes, home manager at Mildenhall Lodge, said: “It’s always an exciting time at Mildenhall Lodge in the run up to Christmas, and we like to give residents the opportunity to try different activities, embrace traditions, and spend time with family and friends.
“It was wonderful to have so many visitors to the care home this Christmas. Everyone embraced the festivities and it was lovely to see the smiles on the residents’ faces.”
