Local people in Billingham are invited to join the team and residents at Hadrian Park care home on Marsh House Avenue on Friday 11th November.
All are welcome from 2pm-4pm, to have a first look at the refurbished suite and find out what life is like for residents at Hadrian Park.
To mark the opening, a guest of honor, Andrew Ball, from the Alzheimer’s Society, will perform a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Andrew will also be giving an informative talk about the Alzheimer’s Society and discuss what it is like to live with dementia.
The suite has undergone a significant investment and will provide specialist residential dementia care, which will help meet demand for high quality dementia care in the local area. Additions to the refurbished suite include dementia friendly seating and reminiscence areas to support the wellbeing of residents by encouraging them to bring back happy memories.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Hadrian Park and take a tour of the home.
Martin Taylor, home manager at Hadrian Park, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming the local community into the care home to have a first look at the refurbished suite. We have built a warm, welcoming community here and now we have everything in place to provide the highest standards of personalised care in beautiful surroundings. We are thrilled that Andrew Ball can also join us for our special day.”
