The simulator is used to train surgeons in minimally invasive surgical techniques and is just one of a variety of family friendly activities taking place.
The Care UK team will also be offering behind the scenes tours of the operating theatres, performing physiotherapy demonstrations, educating people on how to save a life with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) demonstrations and sharing tips on bandaging cuts and grazes.
In addition, representatives from the local healthwatch group will be at the open day seeking feedback on healthcare services in the area to ensure they continue to meet the needs of local people.
Whether you want to find out more about the services and facilities, have an interest in healthcare as a career, or you just want to take part in the family friendly activities, this is the perfect opportunity to find out more about the treatment centre and to meet the team which helps people to get better, faster.
Pamela Mackie, hospital director at Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre, said: “We’ve held open days at Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre for many years and are very proud of the excellent care we provide to patients. This is just one way we can show local people how good our facilities are and how passionate the team is at making sure every patient who comes here has an excellent experience.”
The open day runs 10am to 3pm on Saturday 15 October. For more information visit the Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre website.
