New home manager takes to the helm of Horsham care home

Skylark House care home in Horsham, West Sussex, has welcomed a new member of the team with the appointment of Devendra Lallchand as home manager.

Devendra, from Burgess Hill, will lead the 120-strong team at Skylark House on St Marks Lane, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home, which will accommodate up to 82 residents. Commenting on his his new position, Devendra said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager and I am excited to be heading up a team of committed and compassionate individuals at Skylark House.

“I strongly believe the residents should be the focus of the home and at the centre of everything we do – Skylark House is their home and the team are guests within it. I will be leading by example in ensuring residents continue to lead active and fulfilled lives in a peaceful environment, and I look forward to getting to know them and their families.”

Daniel Turner-Naylor, regional director at Care UK, said: “The arrival of Skylark House to Horsham represents an important investment for Care UK, and we’re thrilled to have Devendra on board. Every detail has been considered to provide the highest standards of care, but having the right people working in the home is key to the overall experience of residents.

“Devendra is a highly experienced, motivated individual and he has a successful track record in his career to date. I know he will play an important part in driving standards to ensure Skylark House builds a reputation for quality, person-centred care.”

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives while promoting independence, Skylark House will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities.
