The judges described Katy as going above and beyond her duty, with colleagues praising her quality of leadership and the great improvements she has made at the home.
Katy impressed the category judge Nichola Bennett on a visit to Mildenhall Lodge in June. Nichola spent time with Katy, as well as spoke with residents and the Care UK team, before selecting Katy as one of three finalists for the motivational leadership category. Winners of the Suffolk Care Awards will be announced at a special event on 29 September at Kesgrave Hall, near Ipswich.
Katy said: “I'm thrilled to be a finalist for motivational leadership at the Suffolk Care Awards and I'm very much looking forward to the finalists’ event in September. I enjoy working closely with my team to make sure everyone is working together effectively and providing the best possible care for residents.”
The Suffolk Care Awards are organised by the Suffolk Brokerage and Suffolk Association of Independent Care Providers (SAICP) with the aim of highlighting and celebrating best practice in adult social care across the county. For more information about the awards, visit suffolkcareawards.com
