From 2pm until 5pm, local people are invited to drop into the care home on Tenpenny Hill to take part in a range of activities and to enjoy the summer celebrations.
There will be classic fete stalls selling everything from books and toys to plants and bric-a-brac. Visitors will also be able to try their luck on the raffle and tombola, and enjoy hot food from the barbecue. Plus, younger visitors can take the opportunity to join in the fun with a bouncy castle and face painting.
Maggie Ziemianska, home manager at Silversprings, said: “There is a real buzz around the care home with preparations now well underway for our annual summer fete. We’ve planned plenty of activities for people of all ages and abilities to take part in.
“At Silversprings it is important for us to build strong relationships with the local community and we hope members of the public will join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun and games. A warm welcome awaits the people of Thorrington and surrounding Colchester area.”
