Framlingham care home offers free stroke awareness event

Residents in Framlingham who are at risk from a stroke, or have a loved one who is, are encouraged to attend a free ‘Stroke Awareness’ event at the new Mills Meadow care home, on Fore Street in the town.

The free event will be held on Monday 23rd November from 11am-1pm with speaker Neil Chapman from the Stroke Association. Neil will provide advice, guidance and free resources on identifying, recognising the signs and recovering from a stroke. The event also provides an opportunity to meet the friendly team at Mills Meadow and take a look around the purpose-built care home and adjacent day club. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

Sue Hill, home manager at Mills Meadow, said: “A stroke can be a life changing, sometimes fatal, event which is why it’s so important that people are able to recognise the symptoms and act quickly. We hope the local community will come along and receive our free help and advice so that if a stroke does strike, they will be able to act with confidence.”

The ‘Stroke Awareness’ event will be held at Mills Meadow on Fore Street, Framlingham IP13 9DF. The event is free to attend and all are welcome. To book your free place call 0333 321 1983 or email susan.hill@careuk.com.
