Wellmeadow Lodge unveils refurbished suite

An afternoon of old-fashioned entertainment was enjoyed at Care UK’s Wellmeadow Lodge care home on Thursday 3rd September, to celebrate the official launch of the newly refurbished Dunkeld suite.

Councillor Charlie Gilbert of East Renfrewshire Council officially opened the newly refurbished suite, which includes an extended lounge and dining area as well as a kitchen where residents and their relatives can make snacks and refreshments at any time. Visitors then enjoyed entertainment from Yesterday Once More, a unique interactive reminiscence session, presented by retired radio and TV presenter Dave Marshall.

As well as joining in the fun and being able to ask questions of the home’s care experts, visitors were able to tour the 25-bed suite, which provides residents with round-the-clock nursing care in a friendly environment with the latest facilities.

Sharon Mcgowan, home manager said: “We’re very proud of the newly refurbished unit, which was designed with the help and input of residents. We are all thrilled at how Wellmeadow Lodge is looking – the quality of life for residents is really enhanced as they can enjoy the beautiful surroundings.”
