Health centre raises £142 for Macmillan

A COFFEE morning held at St Luke’s Health Centre in Pantile Avenue, Southend, has raised £142 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Staff at the centre, which is run on behalf of the local NHS by Care UK, made cakes and the event was well supported by patients and members of the centre’s patient participation group.

Lorna Salmon, Service Manager at the centre, said: “I’d like to thank all the patients and staff who supported the morning so enthusiastically and helped us raise £142 for Macmillan.”

St Luke’s Health Centre is open 8am-8pm, 365 days a year for walk-in patients.
