Hartismere Place will be opening its doors from 10am – 3pmon Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October for anyone who wishes to take a look around.
Hartismere Place will provide nursing, residential and dementia care for up to 60 people, as well as a day care centre in the adjacent Hartismere Club. It is next to the Hartismere Health and Care centre and once open the new care home and club will be a part of Eye’s community health village.
Residents will move into Hartismere Place from Paddock House care home, on Wellington Road in Eye in a carefully staged process over a number of weeks during October, ensuring residents’ and their relatives’ individual wishes are met.
Cathryn Weed, home manager at Hartismere Place, said: “After taking a first look around their new home in August, residents at Paddock House are really looking forward to moving in and enjoying the new facilities. The opening of this new home is an exciting time for the Eye community and I look forward to welcoming many new faces on the preview open days on 2nd and 3rd October.”
There will be another opportunity to visit Hartismere Place after residents have settled when the official opening takes place on 4th November.
