The ‘Walk-in Day’ will be on Monday 20 April from 9am-4.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
Julie Hurren, manager at Lehmann House Wellbeing Centre, said: “The ‘Walk-in Day’ will provide opportunities to meet the team and discover the variety of activities and outings offered on a day-to-day basis for wellbeing centre members.
“We’ll also be doing taster sessions of activities, such as armchair exercises, and will be holding a raffle and a homemade cake and marmalade sale in aid of Age UK. We very much look forward to welcoming the community into the centre on Monday.”
Lehmann House wellbeing centre provides day care for older people living in their own homes locally, as well as a much needed respite for family carers. In September 2015, the centre’s services will be transferred to the Mills Meadow Club, which will be part of the newly redeveloped Mills Meadow care home in Framlingham.
The Mills Meadow Club will be a separate, purpose-built building on Fore Street in the town, with facilities that will enable older people to continue doing the things they love such as baking, gardening and crafts. The Club will be one of ten new day clubs for older people, each built by Care UK across Suffolk.
