New Year pampering for Field Lodge residents

Hair and beauty students from Huntingdon Regional College recently treated residents at Field Lodge care home to a pamper afternoon, including hairdressing, hand massages and nail treatments.

Five students studying for their level two and level three diplomas visited the home in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire as part of their work experience programme and treated 10 residents.

The visit was arranged following a successful visit in September last year and students from the college will now visit on a monthly basis to provide hair, nail and make up treatments for the residents of Field Lodge.

Sam Shepherd, Activities Coordinator, said: “It is a therapeutic experience for each resident at Field Lodge. It gives them a feel-good factor about themselves and we look forward to seeing the students again next month.”
