Sue Stannard joins Sandfields as customer relations manager to provide the all-important link between prospective residents, their friends and families, and the care home. She will also act as the lynchpin between the home and the local community, developing relationships with local businesses, charities and individuals.
A qualified nurse who has managed care homes for more than 24 years, Sue brings a wealth of experience to her new role at Sandfields. As well as being highly skilled across all aspects of care, she also holds a HND in Business Management and a Leadership in Dementia qualification.
Speaking about her new position, Sue said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as customer relations manager at Sandfields and I am now making the most of the opportunity to make the home a hub for the local community. I strongly believe that within this job role you need to be open, friendly, accommodating, professional and that the residents should be at the centre of everything we do.
“My favourite part of the working day is just being amongst the residents and I’m looking forward to getting to know them and their families. I am also looking forward to forging strong working relationships with the local community, with a view to putting Sandfields firmly on the map and allowing local people to enjoy everything the home has to offer.”
Speaking about Sue’s appointment, Ruth Baggs, home manager at Sandfields, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Sue to the team. One of the newest homes in Care UK’s portfolio, every detail has been considered here to provide the highest standards of activity based care, and having the right people on board is key to the overall experience of residents – both now and in the future.
“Sue is a highly-experienced, skilled individual with a successful track record, and I am sure she will play an important part in ensuring Sandfields continues to go from strength to strength.”
