People of Cheltenham invited to plan care for the future

People in Cheltenham are invited to find out more about planning care for the future on Tuesday 23 September at Care UK’s Sandfields care home on St. George’s Road.

From 2pm to 4pm, the team at Sandfields is joining forces with Andrew Page, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan, for a free information seminar. Andrew will be sharing his knowledge and providing practical guidance on funding long term care – whether caring for someone in their own home or looking at care homes – and visitors will have the opportunity to ask their own questions.

Ruth Baggs, home manager at Sandfields, said: “We often find that people rush into a decision when it comes to care as they wait until there is a crisis to start making plans.

“By hosting a free information session, we can open up direct access to trusted professionals who can clearly explain the options when it comes to funding care, and we can also support the people of Cheltenham who are thinking about plans for the future right now.”

Those who attend the free information seminar can also pick up a copy of Care UK’s ‘Listen, talk, connect’ guide which helps friends and relatives to overcome the challenges they may face in having conversations and general interactions with people living with dementia.

Places at the planning care for the future event are limited. Those interested in attending can secure their place by calling customer relations manager, Elizabeth Miles, on 01242 850337 or emailing elizabeth.miles@careuk.com.
