Colleagues at a care home in Framlingham have prepared an action-packed week in celebration of Nutrition and Hydration Week, a global awareness campaign about the importance of nutritional meals to health and wellbeing.
Mills Meadow care home on Fore Street in Framlingham will be joining other health and social care settings across the world by holding an afternoon tea party on 19th March for residents and their friends and relatives.
Throughout the week residents will also be able to enjoy a world food buffet, making and tasting smoothies and taking part in exercise. The overall aim at Mills Meadow is to help promote and encourage active living for older people and independence when making choices about food and drink.
Activities Coordinator at Mills Meadow, Roz Ingate, said: “The residents are looking forward to taking part in the week’s activities. We will also be welcoming students from Framlingham College who will be joining us to create a map of everyone’s favourite world foods.”
