Tea Lovers from Framlingham are coming together to support Dementia UK with a ‘Time for a Cuppa’ party at Mills Meadow care home in Fore Street from 2pm-4pm on Monday 3rd March. The event will raise funds for Admiral Nurses, who provide specialist dementia care and support to families who have relatives with Alzheimers and other forms of dementia.
The tea party will include a raffle, jumble sale, cake stall and party games.
Mills Meadow activities coordinator, Roz Ingate, says: “We want to bring people together from the community and the care home, and to have fun whilst raising essential funds for such a worthy cause. We hope as many people as possible will pop in for a cuppa with us.”
Amy Cudmore, Community Fundraiser at Dementia UK says: “Admiral Nurses provide invaluable support to families to help them in their caring role but more of these specialist dementia nurses are needed. Money raised from ‘Time for a Cuppa’ parties will help Dementia UK to expand and develop more Admiral Nurse services to reach more families affected by dementia across the country.”
