Members of the public are invited to drop into The Potteries on York Road in Broadstone this Friday (24 January) from 10.30am to 2.30pm, when Care UK will be hosting an official launch party for Poole’s newest care home.
Visitors will get the opportunity to take a closer look around the purpose built new home. There will be classic videos of comedy legends Morecambe and Wise playing in the homes’ very own cinema, and a hog roast and refreshments will provide plenty of winter cheer.
Home manager Donna Milne explained why she is opening the doors to The Potteries for the launch celebrations: “Since last October we have been creating a warm and inviting new community here at The Potteries and we now want to take the time to officially open the home. The people of Poole are invited to come along and take a look around at their leisure, and to see for themselves how fulfilling life here can be. Throughout the day my team and I will also be on hand to speak to visitors and answer any questions they may have.”
Situated on York Road in Broadstone, The Potteries is one of Care UK’s newest homes. Just a bus ride from Poole town centre, the purpose-built home offers residents high quality facilities and a focus on luxury living. The home provides a range of services from respite, nursing and residential care to specialist care for those living with dementia.
Each bedroom at The Potteries has its own en-suite wet room, flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed and 24-hour nursing call system, together with phone and internet connection points. Featuring a coffee shop, cinema and hair salon and with plenty of landscaped outside space, The Potteries is well-equipped to meet the day-to-day needs of its residents and their visitors
