A free seminar designed to take away some of the anxiety surrounding care fee planning will be held at Care UK’s The Burroughs care home, in West Drayton, on Tuesday 4th February between 4pm – 6pm.
The seminar will help visitors understand:
Care experts at the home in Mill Road will be joined by John Hutton-Attenborough, a care fees specialist at financial advisers Ashcourt Rowan, who will talk about care fee planning and creating a power of attorney.
John, an Affiliate of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners, has more than 20 years' experience in the wealth management and financial planning industry and specialises in pension and estate planning.
A solicitor will also be on hand at the event to provide a full range of advice services to the elderly including powers of attorney, court of protection matters, long-term care issues and asset protection.
Home manager Josephine Thomas said: “Whether you are preparing for your own, a spouse’s or a parent’s future care, it is important to be prepared both financially and by learning as much as possible about the care homes in your area.
“We hope this seminar will show people that by planning ahead you can secure excellent care in an affordable way.”
Refreshments will be available during the event and there will be a chance to see around the home.
