“I would like to commend the nurses and carers of St Peter’s for the excellent care they give to all the residents of the home, who all have advanced dementia and exhibit very challenging behaviours at times, which they deal with professionally, individually, gently and calmly.
“It is an unenviable job and these ladies and gentlemen manage all their tasks with a sense of humour, taking time to reassure anxious relatives and making sure the lives of their residents are as happy and entertaining as possible.
“They act with extreme kindness and always maintain the dignity and respect of the people they are dealing with.
“Very recently they did a makeover of the garden, which was done in their days off and it is truly magnificent with the use of colour and imagination making a very drab area bright and cheerful for residents and their relations.
“I think that with all the publicity given to care homes it would be nice to redress the balance and fly the flag for the high standard of St Peter’s and for the truly remarkable high standards all the staff manage to achieve.
“To finish I would like to thank them on behalf of my husband, who they look after splendidly, and for the peace of mind they have given me and my daughter.”
In response to the comments above from Marian, Regina Mparusta, Manager of St Peter’s Court said:
“It is nice to be appreciated for the good job we do and that all of the residents and relatives appreciate the extra mile we go to make this the residents’ home. It is with thanks to the team that we make this such a homely place for all of the residents”.
St Peter’s Court will continue to work to these high standards of care, to ensure that resident’s lives are as happy and entertaining as possible.
