Care UK invites Haverhill community to name new care home

Local people are invited to help name a new care home which will be constructed on the former site of Chalkstone Middle School on Millfields Way in Haverhill.

Work on the new care home, which will be run by Care UK, will start in October and once construction is complete in autumn 2014, it will be home for up to 60 older people from the Haverhill community.

Chris Hopkinson, regional operations director at Care UK, said: “Haverhill has a long history and we hope the community will be inspired to make imaginative suggestions which reflect the personality of the town. Whether people make reference to famous figures of the county, milestones in the town’s history or a family or community story, Care UK welcomes all suggestions and we look forward to hearing some interesting ideas.”

The deadline for entries is midnight on 20th September 2013 and the top suggestion will receive a £100 ‘Love2Shop’ voucher. The final shortlist will feature entries from the public, Care UK colleagues, residents and their relatives, with a final choice being made in October.
