New day club services launches at Stanley Park care home

A NEW day club service is being launched at Stanley Park.

The club is being launched at the same time as the home has been named an approved supplier of day care services to Durham County Council.

Stanley Park manager Eve Tierney said: “People coming along will be able to enjoy our facilities and take part in various activities including gardening, baking, arts and crafts and other occupational therapies.
“It allows carers to take a rest while their loved one spends some time with us and if anyone is considering moving into a residential home, is an ideal way to try it out without any commitment before making a choice.”

Stanley Park opened in 2004 and offers residential and specialist care for people living with dementia.

The day club will run throughout the week from 10am to 4pm, with services also being available at weekends and in the evenings. For more information, contact Eve on 01207 290800.
