Each year, in the first week of March, Dementia UK holds an awareness raising campaign called Time for a Cuppa.
Forrester Court always likes to join in, and this year the home will be setting its cuppa horizons further afield.
Activities Coordinator Edward Brunning explained: “We have a great facility in Café Latte so we decided that, throughout the week, we would celebrate with international cuppas, or beverages from around the world, because not only does it reflect the diversity in our home but it allows us to try lots of new things.”
There will be coffees from three continents and teas from two as well as a host of new herbal and fruit teas to try.
Edward said: “I am sure it will be very popular as our residents are very adventurous when it comes to food and drink.
“We hope that friends and families will join in for a cuppa and, for those residents who can’t come down to the coffee shop, we will be offering a trolley service so that they can try some of the delights from around the world in the comfort of their own room.”
