Christmas fun and games at Ascot care home

After celebrating the success of their Christmas Fair, the residents at one of Care UK’s care homes in Ascot, Larkland House are looking forward to a week of Christmas entertainment.

Residents at the London Road home recently held a Christmas Fair, which amongst the many stalls, had a very special one manned and stocked by the home’s crafty residents. Home Manager Annie James explained: “We have some very talented residents. They create beautiful cards and gifts and, as our knitting circle is our most popular club, there was some wonderful knitwear, including scarves for adults and children that were perfect – you would have been be hard pushed to find nicer in any shop, we had some very happy customers indeed.”

On Wednesday 19th December, it will be the residents’ turn to be entertained, when they are visited by local singing group the Sunning Singers, who will be singing a selection of Christmas songs and carols.

Annie said: “Everyone is really looking forward to it. The residents’ friends and relatives have been invited and we are planning to enjoy some mince pies and other seasonal favourites. It will be a lovely way to start the lead-up to Christmas.”
