Care home achieves 5 star rating for third year running

Excellent food hygiene has won us an award from Bradford Council, presented to Jean Cadman, our manager, in December 2012.

Our high standards meant that we received a 5 star rating for the third year running, under the Food Standard Agency’s code of practice, when we were visited by the council’s inspectors.

All businesses and care homes serving food are thoroughly inspected by the council’s environmental health service as part of their programmed food inspections.

Following an inspection, the officer then scores the premises for a range of factors such as food hygiene, structural standards including cleanliness, and confidence in management. The star rating is then advertised on the council’s website and on each establishment’s window and a handful of the highest- rated establishments are given a special award by the council.

Jean said: “Congratulations to our Chef Manager Julian Boococh, all of the kitchen staff and thank you for all of your hard work that made this possible. Good luck for the next inspection and let’s make it 5 stars for a fourth year running”.
