Our poppy tribute

Two proud residents from Hinton Grange proudly laid a poppy tribute, made by their fellow residents, at the Hills Road war memorial, Cambridge, on Remembrance Sunday.

Trevor Shaw, who served as a Lancaster bomber pilot during the Second World War and Stuart Dixon, who served as a rear gunner on Lancasters, visited the memorial with Activities Coordinators Teresa Bastile and Kirsty Wright.

Manager Sam Lambourne said: “Trevor and Stuart represented the home and they were pleased to lay the memorial card to remember lost loved ones and friends. Everyone had fun making the poppies during the week in our craft activity sessions and it triggered lots of memories and conversations".
