Pain free eating for Mike!

Mike Southwell, a retired Senior Police Officer, had been suffering with a painful tooth for a approximatley a year, and after several unsuccessful attempts at removing it, it was clear he needed to be seen by a specialist at the Southampton Treatment Centre.

Mike had been to visit his dentist on many occassions for his problematic tooth, he had several infections which had caused him to experience pain whilst eating. After various courses of antibiotics and a failed attempt of extracting the tooth, Mike was referred to the Southampton Treatment Centre to be seen by an Oral Surgeon.

On the morning of his appointment, Mike was seen by Mr. Abdul Tawfik who told him that his tooth needed to be extracted promptly. Mike said ‘Mr. Tawfik explained to me that my tooth needed to come out straight away and told me I could have it out in the same afternoon as my consultation, which I was very pleased about.’ That afternoon, Mike was seen and treated by Mr. Tawfik. ‘For my procedure I had a local anaesthetic, within a flash, my tooth was out! The treatment was incredible, I had very little bleeding and very little pain.

During my visit to the treatment centre, I was not only impressed with my consultant and how confidently he handled my procedure, but the Nurse too. She was efficient and very pleasant at the same time.’

Soon after his procedure, Mike was back to normal again. ‘I can now eat without experiencing any pain which is great! I have to have another treatment done on another tooth and I know exactly where I am going. Working in the Police Force requires exceptionally high standards and I know when praise should be awarded - I would not hesitate to recommend the centre to my family and friends!’
