Colourful celebrations at Buchanan Court

Residents and visitors added a splash of colour to their Queen’s Jubilee celebrations by dressing in red white and blue.

A sherry morning royal family quiz started the day off on June 5th. It was a friendly contest between floors with ground floor the victors winning 2 bottles of wine to have with their special “Royal Lunch” which consisted of Windsor soup, chicken a la king, duchess potatoes and queen’s pudding.

In the afternoon Roy Douglas was here to sing and play his keyboard and tell corny jokes which made us laugh.

We then drew the jubilee raffle which was followed by an afternoon tea of cream scones and strawberries with £10 note serviettes with the Queen’s head on them.

A big thank you goes to all residents, staff and visitors who made the day a success.
