Tree planting marks Dementia Awareness Week

We planted a small orchard of apple and pear trees at Hollins Park to mark annual Dementia Awareness Week.

National Dementia Awareness Week aims to increase understanding of dementia and to get people to remember that there's more to a person than the disease.

Our manager Carl Simmons said: “ We spent time with residents, friends and families in our garden and then planted a the pear and apple trees. We will all enjoy the “fruits” of our labour in the years to come!”
