Charity fun run

A military wife has led the Bucks MusIC staff in High Wycombe on a fund-raising run in aid of the Soliders, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA)

Sarah Parr, a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist, is running the London Marathon this year to raise money for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA).

Admitting to only “running a bath” until last year, Sarah has been training for the build-up to the marathon and her colleagues at Bucks MusIC have helped to encourage her by particpating in a fun run.

The team, based at the Care UK Diagnostics Centre in High Wycombe, set up a treadmill in the reception foyer and took turns to run, jog, and walk from 8.00am to 4.30pm. They managed to raise £146.70 for the SSAFA. Sarah Parr, whose husband serves in the military said “it was a great day had by all and hopefully we inspired a few patients to get up and be active in the process.”
