Everton star makes Gary’s day

The blue bunting was out at Pinetum when Everton legend Graeme Sharp came to visit Gary Yates, life-long fan and resident of the Chester home.

Home Manager, Tracy Simpson said: “When Gary first came to Pinetum, he was diagnosed with a palliative condition. Our Deputy Manager Linda Speed was chatting to him and he told her what a huge Everton fan he was.

“Linda contacted Everton and told them about Gary and asked if they could do anything to give him and his family a boost. The club kindly arranged for Graeme to visit.”

Gary was presented with a shirt, signed by all the players, and an invitation for him and his brother to go and watch a premiership match between Everton and Spurs.

Gary was ‘over the moon’ with the visit and is looking forward to his trip to Goodison Park.
