Hearts, flowers and lots of love at Elwick Grange

Elwick Grange is currently abuzz as we prepare for St Valentine’s Day and residents and activities coordinators have been hard at work making cards and decorations for our celebrations.

Deputy Manager Nicola Morgan said: “Valentine’s Day is special for many of us because it not only gives us a chance to say thank you to the people we love but it also triggers memories of all the Valentines past.”

Local entertainer Joanne Banford will get the party started with songs from the shows and favourites from the 1950s and 60s. There will also be a buffet, cakes and fizzy wine, and relatives and friends have been invited so they can share the special day with their loved one.

Nicola said: “Everyone is busy making cards, hearts and decorations and we are all looking forward to a fun-filled day of romance.”

The purpose built care home, in Elwick Road, also offers residential and respite care to older people in the Hartlepool area.
