On Friday 19th December, residents in the wing for older people will be holding a party and joining in with entertainment group Tickled Pink who will be putting on an action-packed interactive play.
Activities co-ordinator Mark Winter said: “The group has visited us before and the residents and their relatives loved it. They are all looking forward to joining in with the songs and taking part in the storytelling which will have a Christmas theme and lots of activity.”
The next day, local resident and professional singer Linda Watts will be entertaining residents on the specialist dementia wing during their Christmas party. Mark said “Linda has been kind enough to visit us before and the residents love watching her perform their favourite songs in her wonderfully glamorous stage outfits.”
Residents will also being joining Hayes’ favourite funny man Mark Jones when they visit the Beck Theatre’s pantomime ‘Aladdin’ on 7th January. Mark said: “Some of the residents have never been to the theatre and we have been lucky enough to get front row seats, so they are really looking forward to seeing Mark as Wishee Washee.”
