Treatment centre voted among top in country

Will Adams NHS Treatment Centre has been rated among the best in the country according to the views of patients.

Independently run by Care UK on behalf of the NHS, the treatment centre scored 98 points out of 100 for the levels of respect and dignity patients received from the team of staff and doctors. This was higher than the average score for the top 20 per cent of hospitals in the country – which worked out at 90 points.

The independent survey, carried out for the Department of Health, asked patients to rate all aspects of their hospital experience including cleanliness, quality of food and the level of care received.

99 per cent of patients at Will Adams NHS Treatment Centre also said they would recommend the centre to a friend.

Jane Higgins the General Manager said: “This is fantastic news for the treatment centre and for people in the Medway area.

“To get such positive feedback from the patients themselves is a real testament to the outstanding levels of care and services we provide to our NHS patients.

The staff are very proud of their service and it’s always good to hear that patients value our services highly.”

82-year-old Patricia Nye from Sittingbourne, Kent, who was recently treated for cataracts, said: “I was nervous about the treatment but the staff were very kind, skilled and efficient and put me very much at ease. I am grateful to the team for their excellent treatment which has improved life every day.”
