Greville House was blessed with great weather for its annual garden party last month.
The event was a roaring success and raised £310 for the residents’ welfare fund, which is used to pay for trips out and to buy ‘bits and pieces’ for the residents.
Staff and friends helped to arrange a raffle, entertainment (including a magician and a pianist), an auction of prizes, strawberries and cream, cream teas and fancy cakes. Prizes for the raffle and auction came from a wide range of shops and services in Richmond “Everyone was very generous and we had some great prizes,” said Home Manager, Marie Rose.
The event was attended by residents, guests, people from other Care UK homes and visitors from Marie’s last job. She said: “Our residents and our guests had a great time, and we are delighted to have raised so much money for the residents’ welfare fund. My thanks go to my colleagues, friends of Greville House and businesses in and around Richmond for helping us make our garden party such a superb event.”
“Everyone pulled together to make it such a great day for residents and our 50 guests.”
