Our complex care team has been nominated as a finalist in the Care Home Team category of the prestigious Great British National Care Home Awards.
Since 2002 the highly trained complex care team have worked together to look after and improve the quality of life of people who would otherwise spend long periods of time in hospital.
Home Manager Tracy Simpson said: “I’m thrilled that our nomination has gone through to the finals. The team work incredibly hard and always treat people with the dignity they deserve.
“The most important thing we do is to help people feel that they are valued and in control of their lives again. If they have acquired a disability they can lose a great deal of confidence and we help them to regain that and encourage them to fulfil their ambitions.”
It is the dedication to making a personal difference teamed with excellent clinical skills that have taken the team to the national award finals. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are as supportive of each other as they are their clients, working closely together and sharing their skills and knowledge for the benefit of other people.
The difference they make is hard to describe in words, the proof is in the laughter and joy in the faces of those people whose lives have been touched by them.”
