It was bonnets, eggs, saints and royal weddings all the way in a fun packed month at Tiltwood
Residents enjoyed a full calendar of events as they celebrated Mother’s Day, Easter and the royal wedding.
They began by joining their relatives for a coffee morning to celebrate Mother’s Day on 3rd April.
Then the creative juices began flowing as they made hats for the Easter bonnet parade competition.
Our manager Clive Ramtohol said: “It is always a popular event for residents and day centre visitors. They get very imaginative and create the most beautiful hats.”
Residents also painted eggs, and both hats and eggs were judged at a special competition held on Thursday 21st April.
There was also a competition for the best-dressed unit. Clive said: “The staff and residents always get very competitive and a great deal of thought and effort went into making our five units as colourful and cheerful as possible.”
The month of festivities ended on Tuesday 26th April with a joint celebration for St George’s Day and the royal wedding. Residents helped staff to deck out the home in English flags and then they and their relatives tucked into a special fish and chip lunch.
