Celebrations mark our 20th Anniversary

Champagne celebrations including a commemorative tree planting marked our 20th anniversary.

The event began with our thanksgiving service which was led by the Rev. Stephen Callis who has been our minister since the home opened back in 1991.

This was followed by a buffet lunch with cakes for visitors and staff.

Then John Jones, who is a regular face at Hollins Park, entertained us with his accordion music and asked everyone to choose their favourite songs.

In the interval we cut and shared our celebration cake and everyone enjoyed champagne.

Senior Nurse, Timothy Woodhouse helped us to continue a wonderful afternoon with his selection of tunes played both on his guitar and his ukulele. Tunes such as "Leaning On The Lamp post" and "Daisy, Daisy"

We made time during the show to plant a commemorative tree at the entrance of Hollins Park.

The afternoon drew to a close with a buffet tea for residents and staff.
