The sale includes the whole of Care UK’s children’s fostering operations, as well as those facilities from which the fostering service operates.  All of the Care UK staff that are employed within the fostering service, based at Crystal Palace and Margate, will transfer with the business.

The fostering service has been a part of Care UK for over five years and has established a reputation for innovation in the field of care for vulnerable children and young people and for providing high levels of support for the local communities of foster carers that it has created. Care UK’s experience and expertise has helped the business achieve a very low placement breakdown which is testament to the quality of the foster carers, our ability to match foster carers with children and young people, as well as the comprehensive and personal support offered.

Care UK’s decision to sell its fostering service was made after careful consideration regarding the best ownership position for the business in its next phase of growth. We believe that being part of a larger foster care business will give our foster care service, its staff, carers and service users the best possible future.
