Iris Hewett recently visited Southampton Treatment Centre for Carpal Tunnel surgery and left saying "I couldn’t have had better treatment if I had paid for it!"

Throughout the night, Iris Hewett was suffering from pins and needles in her arm and she was finding it very difficult to sleep.  Iris’s GP discovered that she needed treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome and referred her to Southampton Treatment Centre.

Iris said “My first appointment came through so quick that I had to decline it because I was due to go on holiday.  I then managed to make my appointment for when I returned and a week later I was booked in for my operation”.

Iris had had some terrible experiences with hospitals in the past, but the minute she was put in touch with the Treatment Centre, she was very impressed with the efficiency throughout.  Iris found all the staff exceptional and they were pleasant and helpful at all times. 

Iris said: “I was only a day case patient, so when they offered me something to eat I was pleasantly surprised.  I remember that I had a tuna sandwich, and it even came with salad and crisps!  I couldn’t believe it”. 

Iris was accompanied to the Treatment Centre by her husband, Ted, who was also well looked after:

“We both thought it was wonderful to see how clean the hospital is kept.  After the surgery I felt back to normal almost immediately and I can now sleep at night.  We came to the conclusion that I couldn’t have had better treatment if I had paid for it - I would definitely recommend the Treatment Centre to anyone.”
