Barlborough’s behind the scenes tours

Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre, which has treated over 20,000 patients since opening in 2005, is throwing open it’s doors to the public with an Open Day on Sunday 21st March.

Healthcare professionals, local councillors, along with past and prospective patients will be present on the day to celebrate the Centre’s achievements to date.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to have a look around and meet the staff and consultants. Visitors will even have the chance to go behind-the-scenes and check out the operating theatres and gym and have ‘access all areas’ to see first hand the state-of-the-art facilities and high quality care on offer to NHS patients from across Trent and South Yorkshire. Free mini health-checks will also be taking place, and there’s fun and games planned for the kids too. Treatment Centre can be found on Lindrick Way.

Graeme Kendall, manager of Barlborough, said: ”It’s nearly five years since the Centre opened and along with our 20,000th patient being welcomed recently, holding an Open Day is a fantastic way to say thank you to all our supporters and to highlight what we offer.  The generosity of former patients offering to help out on the day has been very touching and we appreciate their support.”
