Before joining the team at Carpathia Grange, I worked as a Registered Manager in two West Berkshire Council care homes. Care UK has a superb reputation in the care sector, and I was keen to work for a private provider thats leading the way in social care.
I believe that a Home Manager's role is to empower their team to do their best work. I think it is vital to have empathy and a passion for enhancing residents' care and wellbeing.
I love my daily walks around the home. Its my chance to see how everything is going, to chat to colleagues and see what they need, and to find out how residents are. When I see residents happy and enjoying life, I know were doing our jobs properly.
The best homes have great teams, where everyone understands what great care looks like and is working together to achieve that. I'm looking forward to developing the Carpathia Grange team, supporting each colleague to progress and fulfil their potential so that they are happy and delivering superb care to residents. I know we can achieve an ‘outstanding CQC rating – that is my goal.
